My passion for creating Mosaic Formational Coaching was shaped by the challenging and defining moments of my own journey. Like many individuals, I faced painful and formative experiences as I transitioned from childhood to early adulthood. In an attempt to avoid these challenges, I developed unhealthy patterns and habits. However, exhausted by anger, anxiety and the constant struggle, my faith and relationship with God guided me onto a path of intentionality and redemption.

In my mid-twenties, I met my wonderful wife—a Hallmark-worthy story that involves us "randomly" reconnecting after attending primary school together in a different state. I completed my bachelor's degree in Bible and Religion at Anderson University, followed by a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Indiana Wesleyan University. Upon graduating, I worked in a variety of settings, including prisons, group practices, residential treatment facilities, a crisis center, a church, and various primary schools.

In 2015, while building a family and juggling multiple jobs, I founded Mosaic Counseling Services. It was during this time that I allowed myself to experience burnout, which led to a significant physical, mental, and emotional crash—some of the effects of which I continue to deal with today. Yet, this low point became an invitation to healing and growth. I made intentional choices to address issues both internally and externally, establishing healthier rhythms and key habits. Ultimately, through this process of intentionality and focus, the challenging and defining moments of my life have helped me weave together a life filled with rich relationships and significant purpose.

I have been married to my amazing wife, Rebecca Burg, for eighteen years, and we are the proud parents of two incredible boys. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time in coffee shops with a good book, practicing archery with my sons, hiking, or pretending to be a MasterChef. In addition to founding Mosaic Formational Coaching and Mosaic Counseling Services, I am also the cofounder of Mosaic Virtual Solutions.
