Individual Life Coach
Mosaic’s Life Coaches integrate Attachment Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and the development of healthy rhythms and keystone habits focus on building a strong foundation for emotional well-being, self-awareness, and sustainable personal growth. Here’s a summary of how these concepts come together:
Attachment Theory: This framework emphasizes how early relationships, especially with caregivers, shape our emotional patterns and behaviors in adulthood. Life coaching using attachment theory works to identify and address attachment styles (secure, anxious, avoidant, etc.), helping individuals understand how these patterns influence their relationships, self-worth, and decision-making. By healing attachment wounds, clients can develop more secure connections with others and create healthier emotional dynamics.
Internal Family Systems (IFS): IFS is a therapeutic model that views the mind as consisting of different "parts" (e.g., inner critic, vulnerable child, protector, etc.), each with distinct emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. Life coaches who use IFS guide clients in recognizing and understanding these parts, helping them integrate and harmonize their internal system. By understanding and addressing inner conflicts, clients can overcome self-sabotage, increase self-compassion, and move toward a more balanced and empowered self.
Healthy Rhythms & Keystone Habits: This approach focuses on developing sustainable, supportive routines and habits that promote physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Life coaches help clients create and stick to daily rhythms (e.g., morning routines, exercise, time for rest, etc.) that foster consistency and balance. Keystone habits—key actions that have a ripple effect on other areas of life (such as exercise, healthy eating, or meditation)—are used to build momentum for positive change. By anchoring clients in these habits, they can improve productivity, enhance self-discipline, and cultivate a greater sense of fulfillment.
In essence, life coaching services using these approaches work holistically—healing past wounds (Attachment Theory), integrating internal conflicts (IFS), and creating lasting, supportive habits (Healthy Rhythms & Keystone Habits)—to help individuals lead more fulfilled, balanced, and authentic lives.
Relationship Coach
Mosaic’s Relationship Coaches have post-graduate training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) and draw from that training when providing relationship coaching services. EFT is a powerful approach to helping couples improve their relationships by focusing on emotional connection. It's grounded in attachment theory, which highlights how our early relationships influence how we interact with partners later in life. The goal of EFT is to help couples identify and express their emotions in a safe, supportive environment, which ultimately leads to a deeper, more secure emotional bond.
Relationship Coaches using EFT focus on helping couples:
Identify Negative Interaction Patterns: Often, couples get stuck in cycles where one partner withdraws while the other pursues, or both shut down emotionally. EFT helps them recognize these patterns and understand the emotions driving them.
Express Vulnerable Emotions: People often react defensively because they feel vulnerable. EFT encourages individuals to express deeper emotions like fear, hurt, or longing rather than reacting with anger or frustration.
Reframe Conflict: Instead of seeing conflict as a battle to win, EFT encourages partners to view disagreements as opportunities to understand each other's needs and emotions.
Create Secure Attachment: The ultimate goal is to create a secure emotional bond, where both partners feel seen, heard, and valued. This strengthens trust and intimacy, making it easier to navigate future challenges together.
